Optimal for 'Oil Particle Counter':     ISO-MTD2.8-Test Standard

The new ISO-MTD2.8 - Test Standard is a particle count standard which nominally contains 61000 particles per 10mL (≥4µm) suspended in an ultraclean hydraulic oil. It is designed to comfortably perform a quick count test e.g. according to ISO 4406 criteria.

Test Procedure....

As described on the back of the accompanying certificate the particle counter has to be adjusted to three cumulative channels first: 4µm, 6µm and 14µm. Then a rinsing with 20mL of the standard followed by three consecutive countings of 10mL each have to be performed. The count results have to be averaged per channel. They should be at 61000 part./10mL, 24000 part./10mL and 1700 part./10mL.
You now may note the measured data in the 'Result Record Form' on the back of the certificate and file this certificate containing the device, operator and count data together with your other QC documents.

Recommendation:  If there is a deviation of more than 25% for the first two channels when accurately performing the test procedure then an efficient check of the particle counter should be done by the manufacturer of the tested device.


Scope of Delivery and Shelf Life....

200mL ISO-MTD2.8-Test Standard, certificate (incl. instructions with 'Result Record Form'). The shelf life is 3 years with respect to the delivery date.
